What is so special about waitressing?
I realise that it’s hard work, I’d never claim that it is an easy job. However, I work in a shop and I am insanely jealous of waitresses (and waiters for that matter.) We both spend all day on our feet and have to deal with the public, and yet waiters and waitresses get a little thing called tips whilst I get paid minimum wage. Why don’t shop assistants get tips? That would be awesome! What’s so special about waitressing? Why are we made to feel guilty for not tipping?
It just doesn’t make sense when you think about it.

Ah yes, but I’d much rather work in a shop rather than waitressing. With two ten an hour, and perhaps a five dollar tip minimum wage doesn’t seem to add up. Plus people seem to be much more picky about the people who give them food, though I’m not claiming you working with customers are any easier
